Royal Ambulance Kicks Off Their Sixth Annual Christmas Tree Give-Away Program
San Leandro, CA, December 1, 2011—For the sixth year in a row, Royal Ambulance will be helping Senior Care and Nursing Facilities celebrate the spirit of the season by donating beautifully decorated Christmas trees to facilities throughout the Bay Area through their annual “Royal-Treetment” Program. Royal team members will not only deliver the trees, but will be decorating them with festive ornaments and holiday lights.
This program exemplifies the very essence of what Royal Ambulance is about, helping their patients and their community by providing a positive and healing experience through compassion, commitment and caring. Royal’s tree giveaway program will include all of Alameda County as well as all of Santa Clara county. As Royal continues to grow and expand so does the “Royal-Treetment”. Last year Royal gave away over 5 dozen trees, this year they will be giving away 8 dozen trees.
"The holidays can be a difficult time for elderly residents. Many of the patients in these facilities do not have the opportunity to celebrate with their families and loved ones," said Steve Grau, President and Founder of Royal Ambulance. "As we have seen year after year, by creating an atmosphere of holiday spirit we are providing a positive, warm and festive surrounding which in turn creates a greater sense of belonging and community.”
Sadly, due to today’s economic hardships not everyone in the community is in a position to experience the joy of the holiday season. For many seniors, and for the facilities themselves, even the purchase of a Christmas tree can be out of range for their pocket books. That’s where Royal Ambulance aims to make a difference, and with the help of Tom Dean, Owner of Santa’s Surplus Trees, located in the parking lot of Southland Mall in Hayward, they have been able to do just that.
Each and every tree is a fresh, Noble Fir evergreen, over 6 feet tall, and decorated with bright and festive ornaments and lights. Residents have an opportunity to participate in the tree decorating or they can just sit back and enjoy watching their facility’s common area transform into a Christmas wonderland.
