Emergency Medical Technicians (EMT's)
We are a young, professional, customer services oriented group of health care professionals, looking to deliver the most compassionate patient care for our customers. We work hard and play hard!
No experience required. You'll receive the best training from our knowledgeable staff. All your previous EMT experience counts, so you start were you left off with your previous company.

Requirements
- Current CA EMT certification with CPR card
- Experience preferred, not required
- Training provided to ALL employees
- Recent graduates OK
- Valid Ambulance Drivers License

Field Supervisor
A field supervisor is an individual specifically charted with the responsibility of supervision filed operations for a Royal Ambulance, a medical transportation company operating throughout Alameda County California
Royal Ambulance is an ambulance company located in San Leandro California which provides medical transportation services to the public, skilled nursing & rehab centers, and major hospitals throughout Alameda County California.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Jointly responsible for managing resources (personnel, vehicles, equipment, supplies) in order to provide the highest level care with the resources available
- Regularly responds with crew members on active calls; non emergency and gurney van calls
- Provides on-scene support to crews and patients as needed
- Regularly meets with crew members for the purpose of providing guidance, review new information about the company, policy, and changes in county policy
- Investigates clinical incident, complaints, and vehicle accidents
- Oversees the active call system and resources need to meet call demands
- Participates in customer visits to solicit feedback regarding quality of service
- Maintains professional communications with other EMS agencies, police, fire, paramedics
- Creates and prepares weekly reports, activity logs, and progress reports
- Responds to and assists Alameda County EMS Providers as requested and directed in high risk situations such as multi causality incidents
Qualifications
- Current EMT Certification for the State of California
- Current National EMT Registry Certification
- Must be in good standing with the State and County EMSA
- Current California Driver’s License
- Medical Examiners Card
- CPR Card – Health Provider (AED)
- Valid Ambulance Drivers License

Dispatcher
Royal Ambulance is now seeking dispatchers for part- and full-time opportunities. We are a professional, customer services oriented group of health care professionals, who show compassion to our patients, customers and employees.
Roles and Responsibilities
Provide dispatch and communications for Gurney and BLS transports in Alameda County. Gather emergency and non-emergency related information; determine actions, assists callers, and dispatch appropriate response units; maintain logs and records; and provide information to service units and agencies. Common tasks include
- Call taking and data entry – professional communication skills a MUST
- Two-way radio operation
- Ambulance dispatch and resource management using Computer Aided Dispatch software
Experience
Qualified candidates must have one or more of the following:
- Previous dispatch experience in related field (dispatching for other fleet types considered)
- Medical field training and/or career focus
- Moderate- to high-volume, phone-based customer service experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Read, write, and speak English fluently
- Speak clearly; hear and understand radio, telephone, and verbal communications
- Vision capable of reading documents and operating the equipment in the work area

Critical Care Transport Registered Nurse
Provides a continuous level of critical care nursing services and advanced cardiac life support care to critically ill and injured patients, being transported by ambulance, performing the following duties.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Conducts a physical assessment on the patient, determines their nursing needs, and devises a plan for each individual.
- Receives and delivers nursing report on the patient including significant events during the hospital course, administration of medications and medical interventions, pertinent laboratory results, and diagnostic data.
- Provides constant monitoring and assessment of the patient, and immediate treatment when needed.
- Calls for the initiation of emergency procedures and diversion of transport, and administers treatment upon recognizing physiological deterioration of the patient.
- Operates and maintains life-support equipment and systems.
- Documents vital signs, significant conditions, and reactions.
- Observes behavior of patient to determine psychological state and provides emotional support and reassurance to allay anxiety.
- Communicates with the patient, critical care transport team members, healthcare facility staff members, and the patient's family or significant others appropriate information regarding the patient's condition.
- Participates in Quality Improvement activities including chart audits, peer review and data collection activities.
- Participates in continuing education activities as a student, instructor, and proctor.
- Serves as a company representative promoting positive customer relationships through proactive involvement in public business and community activities
Qualifications

Experience / Education
- Registered Nurse with one to two years of related experience and/or training; or ICU, CCU, ER, pediatric critical care, labor & delivery. Familiarity COBRA/EMTALA laws.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret medical documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the medical community. Ability to document care to conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to co-workers, licensed healthcare professionals, communications center personnel, supervisors, managers and administrators. Ability to listen actively and comprehend the meaning of communications with co-workers, licensed healthcare professionals, communications center personnel, supervisors, managers and administrators.
- Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute drug dosages based on patient weight in kilograms, IV infusion rates using various types of tubing and interpret ECG rhythms and lab work.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect and analyze both subjective and objective data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of physiological and psychological signs and symptoms and process subtle and well as specific variables.
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: California Driver’s License, Unrestricted California State Licensed Registered Nurse, Basic Cardiac Life Support Provider, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Provider, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Provider. Specialty certification (BSN, MSN, CEN, CTRN, CCRN, MICN, etc.) desirable.
- Physical Demands: The nurse frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. The nurse is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and taste or smell. The nurse may frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the nurse is frequently exposed to vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Vehicle Services Technician
A Vehicle Service Technician (VST), facilitates the deployment of all Royal Ambulance units. His/her role is to fully prepare units for active field duty. The goal of the creation and implementation of the VST at Royal Ambulance is to add efficiency, promote punctuality, and simplify the deployment process. Also, implementation of this program will help ensure adequate control of inventory and equipment, and to promote proper resource management. Additionally, this program is designed to create opportunity for advancement and variety within the ranks at Royal Ambulance.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Washing and stocking ambulances
- Maneuvering ambulances for efficient deployment
- Serving as liaison for vehicle/equipment maintenance issues
Qualifications
- An ideal VST candidate would be one with significant attention to detail
Experience
- Ideally an EMT who is task oriented and is acclimated to operational duties and responsibilities
